When you make a payment to Vu Jade Audio whether in part or in full, that payment indicates your acceptance of our written policies regarding this transaction.
Return Policy
Generally, Vu Jade Audio does not take a product back for any reason. However, we may agree to offer a time period for the buyer to demo a product and return the product for a full refund if not satisfied. Whether or not this offer is made to the buyer is determined solely at the discretion of Vu Jade Audio, and will only be valid if the agreement is in writing as part of the Invoice used for the sale of the product(s) at the time of purchase.
Shipping
Vu Jade Audio may use different companies for shipping products. Shipping overseas is usually done by the U.S. Postal Service, Express or Priority Service. Shipping costs will be indicated on your Invoice. If you require more information about the type of shipping we are using, or if you have a special request regarding the shipping, please let us know.
Shipping Damage and Insurance
We always cover the contents of our packages with full coverage insurance, when available. When you receive a package from Vu Jade Audio, please inspect it carefully for damage. To make a claim against the shipper for damages, we must prove that the package was damaged during shipping. So it is important for you to inspect the package and if it is damaged, and the contents are damaged, keep the packaging for future reference. Please notify Vu Jade Audio immediately of the damage.
If an item is damaged during shipping, we will either replace the item or repair the item, the choice to be decided at our discretion. If we determine that an item is to be replaced, we will ask that you return the item to us and a replacement will be shipped to you as soon as possible. At our discretion, in some cases, we may send a replacement part to you before we receive the damaged parts back from you. If we determine that an item should be repaired, we will ask that you return the item to us and we will repair it and send it back to you as soon as possible. In the case of custom-made items, we will almost always require that the items be repaired. We apologize for any inconvenience and delay this causes our customers.
International Orders
Vu Jade Audio will always disclose the full value of merchandise purchased on Customs Forms. We do not collect any import taxes and or duties that your government might impose on products shipped from the United States. Please verify (in advance) what these duties might entail and make the appropriate arrangements with your local government.
Addresses
Vu Jade Audio will use the shipping address that you provide us to ship your items to. The shipping address will be written into your Invoice, and it is your responsibility to make sure the shipping address is correctly written prior to making payment. Vu Jade Audio is not responsible for items lost in shipment or for re-shipping or return charges due to an incorrect address being provided to us.
Even if other addresses are provided to Vu Jade Audio during the course of the transaction, such as one included in an email detailing a Paypal payment, or from an address in a signature line of an email, the address used for shipping will always be the one written into the Vu Jade Audio Invoice and it is up to the Buyer to verify that the address used in the Invoice is the correct address.
Front & Rear Panel
The Power Switch (rear panel) applies power when turned to the on position. The Power Indicator on the power supply unit (PSU) will glow blue. The Power Indicator on the main unit will also glow blue when the Digital Audio Converter (DAC) locks onto the signal.
IMPORTANT – DO NOT turn the power supply (PS) unit on without connecting the main unit securely with the umbilical cord connected. Turning the Power Supply on without the umbilical cord connected to the mina unit will cause the Power Supply to become damaged.
Make sure that the Voltage Rating of you Vu Jade Audio DAC matches the power mains voltage at your location. There is no fuse for the DAC. The Power Switch is a circuit breaker designed to protect the Digital Audio Converter.
There are three inputs to connect your Digital Audio Converter to your source. Option 1 is a SPDIF connection, Option 2 is an XLR connection and Option 3 is a HDMI connection.
A power cord is supplied and plugs into the IEC Power Connector. If the power cord is frayed or damaged, replace it with a new one. Use only power cords that meet the safety standards of your location.
Tube Types and tube manufacturer will have an effect on the sound of audio equipment. The Vu Jade Audio Digital Converter was designed for the following tubes: the Psvane or Full Music 101D tube (2) in the main unit. The Russian 6C45 (1), the OA2 (1), the GZ34/5AR4 (1), and the 226 tube (1).
Warning: Do not use any other types of tubes other than those recommended here. Vu Jade audio is not responsible for damage caused by using incorrect tubes!
Critical audio circuits’ point-to-point wired. All critical circuits in the audio path use point-to-pint wiring. The technique minimizes the sonic effects of PC boards and allows easy component replacement.
High-quality parts have been selected and are used in the Digital Audio Converter such as electrolytic capacitors, resistors, output capacitors, etc. for best reliability and sound reproduction.
